Set up UPowr

Before using UPowr, you need to:

  1. Add company details
  2. Configure your Pylon integration

Both steps are done in Settings, and you need to be an admin to do them.

Add company details

To automatically generate SMS notifications, reports, and documents, UPowr needs information about your company, including company name, support email address and phone number.

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Company.
  2. Enter the required information.
  3. Click Save.

Configure your Pylon integration

UPowr integrates with Pylon to streamline your system design and quoting process. To configure the integration, you need to be an admin in both Pylon and UPowr. The process involves copying an API key and webhook secret from Pylon to UPowr, and it's best to have both open in separate tabs at the same time.

Open the UPowr Pylon integration settings page:

  1. In UPowr, go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find the Pylon integration and click Manage.

Now that you have the UPowr Pylon integration settings page open in one tab, we’ll open Pylon in another tab to create the API key and Webhook secret.

Create a Pylon API token:

  1. In Pylon, go to Settings > API settings.
  2. Click Create API token.
  3. Enter a token name (e.g. UPowr).
  4. Select all permissions.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Copy the API token.
  7. Return to UPowr and paste it into the API token field.

Add a webhook destination:

  1. In UPowr, copy the Webhook destination URL.
  2. In Pylon, go to Settings > API settings.
  3. Click Add new destination.
  4. Paste the Webhook destination URL that you copied from UPowr.
  5. Select all events.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Copy the Webhook secret.
  8. Return to UPowr and paste it into the Webhook secret field.
  9. Click Save.
