Storing your files in Console means all your project documentation is in one place.
Where to view files
All files tab
In the customer workspace, the All files tab shows every file related to that customer across all their projects and jobs. This is helpful when you need to find a document quickly without navigating to a specific record.
On individual records
Files also appear on the specific records they relate to. For example, the quote record includes the SLD and system layout images.
How to upload files
You can upload files from either a Site record or a Job record.
From a site record:
Once a site has been onboarded, you can upload switchboard or site photos.
From a job record:
Once a job has been created you can upload project files.
Steps:
- Open the job record
- Select Add file
- Choose whether to override an existing file, add a new one, or upload as an Uncategorised file
- If you want the file available in the Installer app, check the Installer app box
- Click Upload
Sharing files with the Installer app
When uploading a file, you can check the Installer app box to include it in the Job pack (the collection of documents installers need on site).
In the job record, the Files table shows which files are included in the Job pack:
- Files with a tick (✓) are available to Installers
- Files with a cross (✗) are only in Console
