Create a sales project

Sales projects are used for selling and installing new systems.

Before you start

You need to have:

  • A customer record in Console
  • At least one site created for that customer

If you haven't done this yet, see Add a customer and site.

How to create a sales project

Steps:

  1. Go to the customer's site record
  2. Find the Projects section
  3. In the actions, click Create project > Sales project

Outcome:

A new sales project is created for the site. You can now connect a Pylon project to design the system and create quotes.

About sales projects

Default job types:

  • Site inspection
  • Installation

Project stages: As your sales project progresses, it moves through stages like Onboarding, Quoting, Considering, Committing, and Installing. For more detail, see Sales project stages.

One active sales project per site: Each site can have one active sales project at a time. Once the project is completed or closed, you can create a new one if needed.
