Accept and schedule a job
Accepting and scheduling a job is a two-step process in the Installer app.
- First, an admin proposes a date and time and assigns an installation team.
- Then, once the customer agrees to the date and time, an admin or team lead confirms it.
Step 1: Propose a job date
When a job is assigned to your company, admins can accept it by proposing a date and nominating the installation team.
Steps:
- Go to Jobs to accept on the home screen and select the job
- Propose a date and time to do the job
- Select a team lead and team members for the job
- Select Accept to confirm
Outcome:
- The job's status changes to
Acceptedand appears in your Current jobs list - The customer receives an automated text message with your proposed date and time
- The customer can agree with the date or request a change via SMS
- You can see the customer's response in the Chat tab
Step 2: Confirm the job date
Once the customer agrees to the date and time, admins and team leads can confirm it.
Steps:
- Go to Jobs to schedule on the home screen and select the job
- Select the Chat tab
- Select Confirm job date. You will have the option to change the date, as required
Outcome:
- The job status changes to
Scheduled - The customer receives a job scheduled SMS confirming the booking is locked in
- The customer receives a job reminder SMS 1 day before the job date
- Job schedules can be synced with Google or Apple calendar
What happens if the customer doesn't agree
If the customer wants a different date after you propose one:
- Their response appears in the Chat tab
- You can message them to discuss alternative dates
- Once you agree on a new date, an admin or team lead can update the job date
- When the date is confirmed, follow Step 2 to finalize the schedule
Reject a job
If you can't accept a job, you can remove it from your assigned jobs.
Steps:
- Go to Jobs to accept and select the job
- Select Reject
- Select a reject reason
- Confirm
Outcome:
The job is removed from your Jobs to accept list.
