Service project job types
Service projects include three job types:
- Audit – for visiting a site to assess a system and identify issues.
- Call out - for visiting a site to perform general post-installation work
- Replacement – for replacing assets on a site.
Unlike sales projects, service projects allow you to return to the site multiple times if needed. After completing either job type, you can create a new job to resolve the issue.
Audit
An audit job enables your in-field team to visit a site, assess the installed system, and identify any faults.
When you create an audit job, the project moves to the Servicing stage.
| Step | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Start audit job task | Console | Confirm the audit job, and add an optional note to the information sheet for installers. |
| Accept and schedule audit job | Installer app | Review the audit job and agree on a date and time with the customer. |
| Complete job task | Installer app | Complete the audit checklist task to record information for the audit report. |
| Review audit reports task | Console | Look over the audit report and determine if the asset register needs to be updated. |
| Complete audit review task | Console | Determine the overall outcome of the job. |
Once the audit is completed, the Project moves to the Reviewing stage, where you can decide if the issue is resolved or if another site visit is required.
Call-out
A call-out job enables your in-field team to visit a site to perform post-installation work. It’s designed to be simple and adaptable. During a call-out, the Installer app will only surface questions relevant to the type of service, including:
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Servicing and troubleshooting
- Performance or monitoring issues
- Warranty investigations
- Quality or safety issues
- Customer requests
When you create a call-out job, the project moves to the Servicing stage.
| Step | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Start call-out job task | Console | Confirm the call-out job, and add an optional note to the information sheet for installers. |
| Accept and schedule call-out job | Installer app | Review the call-out job and agree on a date and time with the customer. |

| Review call-out reports task | Console | Look over the call-out report and determine if the asset register needs to be updated. |
| Complete call-out review task | Console | Determine the overall outcome of the job. |
Once the call-out is completed, the Project moves to the Reviewing stage, where you can decide if the issue is resolved or if another site visit is required.
Replacement
A replacement job allows your in-field team to visit the site to replace faulty equipment.
When you create a replacement job, the project moves to the Servicing stage. The job includes the following tasks, which must be completed in order.
| Step | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Start replacement job task | Console | Confirm the replacement job, and add an optional note to the information sheet for installers. |
| Accept and schedule replacement job | Installer app | Review the replacement job and agree on a date and time with the customer. |
| Complete job tasks | Installer app |
Record information for the replacement report through these two tasks:
|
| Review replacement artefacts task | Console | Look over the replacement report and determine an outcome. |
| Update asset serial numbers task | Console | Record the serial numbers of any assets that you installed or replaced. |
| Upload installation compliance documents tasks | Console | A reminder to upload the required regulatory documents to UPowr. |
Once all tasks are complete, the project moves to the Reviewing stage, where you can determine if the issue has been resolved or if additional work is needed.
