Assets
An asset is a hardware component, such as a solar panel, battery, inverter, EV charger, or gateway, that's installed on a site.
Why assets matter
Understanding assets helps you:
- Monitor what hardware is installed at each site
- Track installation and servicing history for each component
- Plan for maintenance and replacements
- Reference specific equipment when logging service requests
Where to find assets
There are two places to view assets:
- Site record - View, add, and manage assets for a specific site. You can see a summary of assets and their statuses, add an asset, and view the asset event log, which details all changes.
- Asset register - View all installed assets across your customer base in one place, with search, filters, and CSV export.
How assets are added
There are two ways assets can be added to a site:
- Automatically - Assets are automatically added to a site when the installed hardware was part of a customer's quote.
- Manually - You can also add assets manually from the site record by selecting + Add asset and completing the form.
Asset statuses
Each asset has a status that reflects where it is in its lifecycle. Statuses update automatically as jobs and projects progress. See asset statuses for the full list of statuses and how they're triggered.
