4. Workflows
Workflows guide your projects from start to finish, ensuring nothing gets missed and everyone stays aligned. They span both Console and the Installer app, and enable office teams and field teams to collaborate.
What are workflows?
A workflow is the sequence of steps needed to complete a project. Whether you're selling and installing a new system (in a sales project) or servicing an existing one (in a service project), workflows break down complex processes into manageable steps.
How workflows progress
Workflows move forward through tasks that include instructions and/or forms to be completed. Tasks appear in different places depending on where you're working:
Console tasks appear in the navigation sidebar of the relevant Customer workspace.
Installer app tasks appear in the Tasks tab of the relevant Job workspace.
When you submit a task, UPowr records the information and may update statuses, create new tasks, or sync data between Console and the Installer app.
Tracking workflow progress
As workflows progress, UPowr tracks your progress through project stages and quote and job statuses.
Stages vs statuses
Stages represent phases in a project's lifecycle. They show the big picture of where a project is in its journey. Stages update automatically based on the actions you take. For more, see:
Statuses describe the state of individual quotes and jobs within a project. They show the current state of specific work items and who needs to take the next action. For example, a sales project in the Installing stage might have a quote with an Accepted status and an installation job with Scheduled status. For more, see:
